I find certain passages of music so beautiful I can barely contain myself when I hear them. Certain voices are so melodic they sound too perfect to be human. Harmony is amazing, especially between a man and a woman. Equal, but different and unique, contrasting and complimentary. Here are just a few that I find beautiful:
Sheena Easton's voice on her duet with Kenny Rogers on "We've got Tonight" - "Deep in my soul, I've been so lonely, all of my hopes faded away. ...Like everyone else does. Ya know I'll keep searchin'... .
Judy Garland and Gene Kelly on "For Me and My Gal" and "When You Wore a Tulip"
Gordon MacRae and Jo Stafford on Whispering Hope. Beyond words...
Mario Lanzo's "Because You're Mine" That such a powerful voice can be so forceful and yet so tender. Wow! "Softly, As a Morning Sunrise" is another.
Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson on "Make Believe" from Showboat. I don't have the song in my collection so it's been awhile since I've heard it but I can't get it out of my head. Maybe it was the combination of the seeing them together and the song that made it so.
