These photos are from my hiking and biking trip in the Rocky mountains in Sept. 1999. It was hiking or biking during the day and hot springs in the evening. What a life! Wanted to do some white water rafting but the water levels were too low :(
We biked on various runs at the Panorama ski resort. VERY tiring but quite an adventure. Creation is sooo beautiful! The ever present bear situation made things interesting. Never go out without pepper spray and a healthy voice. I called out for BooBoo and Yogi over and over again, but they just weren't listening :) In case you were wondering, it's just to keep from surprising them. If they hear you, they aren't usually a problem.
Please forgive the funny faces due to the shadows. I'm not as scary in person. Well, at least under the right lighting conditions anyway :) Besides, you are supposed to be enjoying the scenery.
Half way through a 10 km hike up a mountain! We started down near that lake many hours ago.
Another couple hours later, we're now in the Alpine and have about 1/3 to go. The picture above is from a location on the far left side of this picture.
